CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Kate M. Keezel, 3 Mar 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Kate M. Keezel Kate M. Keezel, 86, of Four Oaks Health Care Center, Jonesborough, formerly of John Exum Parkway, Johnson City, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at the Center. Mrs. Keezel was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Lee Morris Jr. and Pearl Crockett Morris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewey S. Keezel, in 1965; a son, Joe Keezel; two daughters, Evelyn Collins and Betty Willard; four sisters, Beulah Bare, Virgie Leonard, Dorothy Keezel and Mattie Gallimore; and a niece, Candy Owens. Mrs. Keezel was a member of Tacoma Church of God. She had worked as a silk finisher at Johnson City Steam Laundry and later retired from Grady's Dry Cleaners. Survivors include a son, Kyle Keezel, Johnson City; a brother, Billy J. Gallamore, Paris, Tenn.; and nieces and nephews, Debbie Keezel, Jacksonville, Fla., Kim Caraway, Joe Keezel Jr., Karen Cunningham and Sandy Langham, all of Mobile, Ala., Michael Gallamore, King George, Va., Lisa Thomas, Maryville, Jack Leonard Jr., Huntington, W.Va., Robert Leonard, Brunswick, Ohio, John Bare, Morristown, Charles Bare and Larry Bare, both of Johnson City, and Katherine Ratliff, Clinton, S.C. Several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Morris-Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2001 Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, (423) 282-1521, is in charge of arrangements. KEEZEL -- Funeral services for Kate M. Keezel, 86, of Four Oaks Health Care Center, Jonesborough, formerly of John Exum Parkway, Johnson City, who died Monday, March 3, 2003, will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 6, in the South Chapel of Morris-Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Absher officiating. Special music will be provided by Jerry Barnett, soloist, and Nancy Beach, organist. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Interment will follow the committal service at 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, at Monte Vista Burial Park, where friends are invited to meet the family. Active pallbearers will be Robert Leonard, Jack Leonard Jr., Alan Caraway, Michael Gallamore, Brandon Ratliff and Jim Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Bare, Charles Bare and John Bare.
