Little Miss Alice Caroline Little, 99, 111 Sunshine Circle, Elizabethton, died Monday, February 5, 2007, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Bob and Jennie Bishop Little. Miss Little was a retired elementary teacher having taught at Burbank Elementary for three years and at Valley Forge Elementary for a total of 44 years. She was the oldest member of Valley Forge United Methodist Church. Miss Little was a member of the Carter County/Elizabethton Retired Teachers Association and the Tennessee Retired Teachers Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Roy, Clay, Bill, Arthur and Howard Little, and three sisters, Miss Mary Nan Little, Mrs. Delia Nave and Miss Kate Little. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Verna Snodgrass of Crossville, and a special niece, Jane Fraser of Elizabethton. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Miss Little will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Humphrey officiating. Music will be under the direction of Linda Baughman, soloist, Trilla Little, organist, and Judy Little, pianist. Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 8, in the Little Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be nephews, Joe Nave, Dwight Nave, Jerry Nave, Ronnie Little, Buddy Little and Michael Fraser. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Fraser, Carson Mooneyham, David Boyers, Steve Williams, Kenneth Little, Glen Little, Earl Little, Bob Little, John Little and Jack Little. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Judy Deloach and especially the employees of Ivy Hall Nursing Home (B-Wing). Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday or at the residence, 111 Sunshine Circle, Elizabethton, at anytime.
