Love Helen Heaton Love, age 86, formerly of 620 Johnson Avenue, Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Rhudy and Rosa Deloach Heaton. She was a member of Siam Baptist Church and worked at North American Rayon Corporation for 35 years. She was a graduate of Hampton High School and had a love for reading. Mrs. Love was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Love, Aug. 31, 1995, and two brothers, John and Stanley Heaton. Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Charles Lipford, Elizabethton; one sister-in-law, Lucille Heaton, Elizabethton; one nephew; three nieces; special friends, Juanita Ellison, Lynn and Phyllis Wright, Julia and Jeff Oliver, Wade Sluder, Debbie and Danny Little, all of Elizabethton. The funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, with the Rev. Jack Roddy officiating. Music will be under the direction of Bill Anderson. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the funeral service. The committal and entombment service will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Smith, Carroll Montgomery, Arden Gentry, Buddy Farmer, Jimmy Lipford and Gary Lipford. Honorary pallbearers will be The Love Family and members of Siam Baptist Church. Those who wish to attend the committal service are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Siam Baptist Church, 2414 Siam Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
