Lewis 12/16/99 Mildred Cable Lewis, 92, Appalachian Christian Village, Johnson City, died Tuesday, December 14, 1999, at Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Lewis was a native of Hampton and had lived in Johnson City since 1925. She was a daughter of the late Levi Calvin and Judy Ann Hyder Cable and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Cody Lewis, in 1995, two brothers and six sisters. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and at one time had been employed by the Mountain Home Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She had been a Cub Scout den mother and was an active member of Locust Street Church of Christ for over 75 years. Survivors include a son, James Richard Lewis, Johnson City; a daughter, Barbara Kincheloe, Sevierville; and eight grandchildren, Bill Kincheloe, Jonesborough, Jan Mobley, Kingsport, Melany Looper, Ft. Myers, Fla., Carl Kincheloe, Bristol, Steve Hendrix, Arvada, Colo., Beth Baudinot, Granite Falls, N.C., Nancy Osman, Brentwood, and Susan Lewis, Nashville. Ten great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Morris-Baker Funeral Home, 2001 Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, (423) 282-1521, is in charge of arrangements. LEWIS -- Funeral services for Mildred Cable Lewis, 92, Appalachian Christian Village, Johnson City, who died Tuesday, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Morris-Baker South Chapel with Mr. Mike Bradford officiating. Interment will follow services at Monte Vista Burial Park. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law. For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Appalachian Christian Village, 2012 Sherwood Drive, Johnson City, Tenn. 37601.
