Lewis Beulah L. Lewis, 88, 131 Ed Lewis Rd., Hampton, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Lewis was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County. She was the daughter of the late Pearl and Annie Lewis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Lewis, Sr., in 1969, and one brother, Kenneth Lewis. She was a homemaker and was a member of Union Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Nadine and Bob Million, Chattanooga, Tenn., and Rose and Ted Smith, Johnson City, seven sons and five daughters-in-law, Paul Lewis, Jr. and Janie Lewis, Pat and Linda Lewis, and Randy Lewis, all of Elizabethton, John and Peggy Lewis, Hampton, James D. "Jim" and Susan Lewis, Kingsport, Shelton and Janie Lewis, Johnson City, and Wayne Lewis, Bluff City, two brothers, Raymond Lewis and Mel Lewis, both of Elizabethton, two sisters, Georgia Shoun, Elizabethton, and Lena Lawson, Indiana, 21 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Lewis, 88, 131 Ed Lewis Rd., Hampton, Tenn., who died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, in the Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Mickey Beal and Messers Shelton Lewis and James D. "Jim" Lewis officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Union Baptist Church Choir. Interment will follow in the Lewis Cemetery, Hampton, Tenn., Active pallbearers will be the following grandsons, Eddie Ray Lewis, Mike Lewis, Shane Lewis, Jeffery Million, Mark Million, Craig Smith, Bryan Smith, Terry Lewis, Randy Lewis, Jr., and Chad Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Paul Brown, Lester Smith, "Tip" Smith, Jackie Smith, Carl Lee Hazelwood, John F rank Smith, Bud Whisnant, Dr. Rodney Houghton, Clifford Carden, Richard ester, Glenn Tester, Bill Campbell, Donnie Carden, Eddie Lawson, Bill Shoun, Ray Lewis, Jr., Randy Lewis, Gary Lewis, Gary Singleton, Roger Lewis, Steve Lewis, Carl Lewis, J.D. Lewis, Carl Montgomery and all nephews. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in memorial of Mrs. Lewis to Adventa Hospice, 106 Rogosin Dr., Elizabethton, TN 37643. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, or at the residence, 131 Ed Lewis Rd., Hampton, Tenn., at any time.
