Martha B. Lilley 

Martha Bell Lunsford Nichols Lilley, 82, 805 Tipton Street, Elizabethton, passed 
away Friday, March 4, 2005, at her residence.

Mrs. Lilley was born May 10, 1922, in Sullivan County, Tenn,. to the late Jim 
and Mary Gross Lunsford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death 
by three brothers, Ed Lunsford, Jack Lunsford and Carl Lunsford; two sisters, 
Flora Leonard Carr and Della Faye Hicks, and her husband, Clarence J. Lilley.

Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Charles Rolland and Doris 
Ann Nichols, Bluff City, William Edward Nichols, North Lawrence, Ohio, Richard 
Henry Nichols, Bluff City, and John Ridgeway and Susie Nichols, Elizabethton; 
a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and James Mayo, Wasilla, Ark.; and 
three sisters, Annie Watson, Bristol, Margie Malone and Billie Jean Baker, both 
of Bluff City. Fourteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several 
nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lilley will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 7, 
from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David E. Dobson officiating. 
Interment will follow in the Shipley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons 
and friends of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 
from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday or anytime at the home of a son, Charles R. Nichols, 
548 Weaver Branch Road, Bluff City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions 
may be sent to the American Breast Cancer Society. Online condolences may be
