CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Virginia "Bun" Linebaugh, 19 Jul 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Mrs. Virginia "Bun" Linebaugh, 89, West F Street, Elizabethton, died Monday, July 19, 2004, at her residence. Mrs. Linebaugh was a native of Cripple Creek, Va., and the daughter of the late Sidney and Creel Townsend Pearman. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jack Pearman, Fred Pearman, Rounder Pearman and Paul Pearman, and one sister, Getis Brewer. Mrs. Linebaugh was a homemaker and had traveled overseas in Holland, France, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Taiwan, Tokyo and most of the old towns in Germany. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Lt. Col. George Linebaugh, U.S. Army Ret., of the home. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia "Bun" Linebaugh will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Rev. Buford Hankins officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 22, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Givens, Lewis Merryman, Bill Linebaugh, Jim Linebaugh, David Linebaugh, Billy Linebaugh, George Gwinn Sr., George Gwinn Jr., Jonathan Gwinn, Dan Jenkins, Al Hyder, Wayne Kelley, John Kelley, Paul Whitehead, Jerry Pearman and Jack Pearman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
