Audrey Lipford

Audrey Lois Roberts Lipford, 79, of 712 Carriger Avenue, Elizabethton, 
died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at the residence of a daughter, Angela 
Markland, 2516 Bob Little Road, following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Dudley Justin 
and Blanche L. Crowe Roberts. 
She was preceded in death by a son, James A. Lipford, three brothers, and 
three sisters. Mrs. Lipford was a housewife.
Survivors include her husband, James H. "Dude" Lipford, Jr., of the home; 
three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan R. and Bob Ellison, Hampton; 
Shelly Blevins and Angela and Larry Markland, all of Elizabethton; five 
sons, Phillip A. Lipford, Nathan Mark Lipford, Kevin M. Lipford, Matthew 
Lipford, and Mitchell Lipford, all of Elizabethton; one daughter-in-law, 
Pat Lipford, Elizabethton; one sister, Clara Bo Miller, Fla.; fourteen 
grandchildren, Keith Lipford, Lisa R. Cipy, Chad Richardson, Missy B. 
Cowan, Tara Blevins, Beverly Ann Lipford, Phillip A. Lipford, Jr., Audrey
Bennett, Heather Bennett, Joshua Kevin Lipford, Brooke Lipford, Penny L. 
Ward, Sherri Lipford and Carly Cowan. Five great-grandchildren and several 
nieces and nephews also survive.

LIPFORD -- Funeral services for Audrey Lois Roberts Lipford, 79, of 712 
Carriger Avenue, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, January 4, 2003, will 
be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2003 in the Riverside Chapel 
of Tetrick Funeral Home, with Rev. Bud Malone officiating. Music will 
be under the direction of Daniel Boner and J.P. Matheson. Graveside 
service and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2003 
in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Randy Lewis, 
Keith Lipford, Chad Richardson, Wayne Markland, Bob Lipford, James 
Henson, I, Jack Lipford, Brian Henson, Daniel Boner, Kenny Davis, 
Aarron Warren and Jeff Lipford. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Nave, 
Bobby Ellison, Ronnie Hardin, R.C. Bradshaw, Roy Heaton, Eddie 
Richardson, James Henson, II, Donnie Julian, Dave Powell, J.P. Mathis, 
Bobby Davenport, Mike Robinson, Dr. David Fenner, and Dr. Robert 
Walter; special friends, Louise Townsend, Lillian Watts, Debbie Ballinger, 
Sandra Perkins, Lori Beam, Lucille Powell, Joyce Pierce, Greyton Henson, 
ramona James, Kenny Davis, Phyllis Davenport, Jack and Katheryn Greene, 
Lonnie and Rose Anna Lowe and Karen Stevens. Those planning to attend 
the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home chapel at 
10:15 a.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family 
will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday prior to the service in 
the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home. Words of sympathy to the family
