Lunceford Vina E. Lunceford, 86, 319 Stout Hollow Road, Hampton, died Thursday, January 17, 2002, at her residence after an extended illness. Mrs. Lunceford was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Alt and Sarah A. Dugger Vines. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Gentry Presnell, in 1958, her second husband, Conner "I.C." Lunceford, in 1985, and a brother, Roy Vines. Mrs. Lunceford was an active member of Union Baptist Church until failing health. She was a homemaker. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Ann and Tony Pierce, Betty Cates and Wanda and Wayne Birchfield, all of Hampton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Patsy Presnell, Hampton, and Howard Presnell, Elizabethton; a stepson and his wife, Arthur and Beulah Lunceford, Hampton; grandchildren, Gary Hicks, Donna Reddy, Lori Pierce, Linda Willis, Pam Martin, Joy Presnell, Summer Carroll, Tony Cates, Jeff and Jason Presnell, Crystal Flores and Chris Birchfield. Lunceford, 86, 319 Stout Hollow Road, Hampton, who died Thursday, January 17, 2002, were conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, January 19, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, with the Rev. Bobby Stout, the Rev. Mickey Beal and the Rev. Russell Potter officiating. Music was under the direction of Bob Hicks and Ann Stepp. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 20, at Union Baptist Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Gary Hicks, Tony Cates, Jeff Presnell, Jason Presnell, Chris Birchfield and Andy Stout. Honorary pallbearers will be the Dewey Hicks Family, the Rufus Marlow Family, the Donnie Isaacs Family, the Herman Stout Family, Jess Bailey, members of Union Baptist Church, all the kind, faithful nurses who came every day, and Dr. Wesley Hanson. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 2:15 p.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. She was a loving mother to three daughters and two sons-in-law, Ann and Tony Pierce, Betty Cates and Wanda and Wayne Birchfield, all of Hampton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Patsy Presnell, Hampton, and Howard Presnell, Elizabethton; a stepson and his wife, Arthur and Beulah Lunceford, Hampton; grandchildren, Gary Hicks, Donna Reddy, Lori Pierce, Linda Willis, Pam Martin, Joy Presnell, Summer Carroll, Tony Cates, Jeff and Jason Presnell, Crystal Flores and Chris Birchfield.
