CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Isiah Conner Lunceford, 15 Oct 1985 ----¤¤¤---- Obituary appeared in the Tuesday, October 15, 1985 Elizabethton Star Isiah Conner Lunceford, 89, Rt. 2, Hampton, died Tuesday morning in the Veteran's Administration Medical Center Hospital, following an extended illness. Mr. Lunceford was a native of Carter County. He was a retired farmer, an Army Veteran of World War I, and a member of the Hampton Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vina Vines Lunceford of the home; one son, Arthur Lunceford, Hampton; two step sons, John Presnell and Howard Presnell, both of Hampton, three step daughters, Mrs. Ann Pierce, Hampton, Mrs. Wanda Birchfield, Elizabethton, and Mrs. Betty Ann Cates, Watauga; one sister, Mrs. Nancy Roberts, Hampton. Three grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren also survive. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
