CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Floyd L. "Bucky" Lockett Jr. --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Floyd L. "Bucky" Lockett Jr., 76, 509 Rose Avenue, Johnson City, died Thursday, August 19, 2004(sic), at his residence. Mr. Lockett was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and a son of the late Floyd L. Lockett Sr. and Hattie Mae Hannah Lockett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Lockett. Mr. Lockett was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, where he had served as an usher, and a member of the Solon Gentry Sunday School Class and the Administrative Board. Survivors include his wife, Caroline Luther Lockett, of the home; two daughters, Linda Lockett Robertson, Atlanta, Ga., and Lucy Lockett Gallo, Durham, N.C., and son-in-law, Steve Gallo; and four grandchildren, Charlie Robertson, Mary Robertson, Nick Gallo and Natalie Gallo. A memorial service for Mr. Lockett will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, in the Morris-Baker North Chapel with Rev. Lauri Jo Cranford officiating. Music will be provided by Bill and Caroline Darden. Committal services will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Solon Gentry Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
