Love Lillian B. Love, 89, 146 Holston Mountain Road, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, January 2, 2001, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Love was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Zeke and Nancy Melton Barnett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ike Love, January 31, 1986, two sisters, Mary Bowers and Pearl Foxx, and three brothers, George Barnett, Waites Barnett and Will Barnett. Mrs. Love was a member of Borderview Christian Church. She was a past employee of North American Rayon Corporation. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Robert Elliott and Nancy and Kenneth Calloway, all of Elizabethton; three grandchildren, Mike Elliott and Dennis Elliott, both of Elizabethton, and Robin Sutherland, Haysi, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Michael Elliott II, Tampa, Fla., Melissa Elliott, Woonsocket, R.I., Aaron and Michelle Sutherland, both of Haysi, Va.; a great-great-grandson, Ethan Elliott, Woonsocket, R.I.; a brother, Ernest Barnett, Bluff City; and a sister, Estalena Keene, Johnson City. Love, 89, 146 Holston Mountain Road, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, January 2, 2001, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2001, in the Mausoleum of Hope at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. David Wolfe, minister, officiating. Music will be provided by Clate Briggs. Active pallbearers, who are requested to meet at the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. Friday, will be Howard Love, Jack Love, Harold Ellis, Tony Barnette, Gene Foxx, Enzy Foxx, Bob Keene and Ernest "Gebe" Ritchie. Honorary pallbearers will be Hensel Johnson, Phil Ellis, Johnny Parlier, Richard Love, Russell Love, Mrs. Love's friends and neighbors, a special friend, Judy Campbell, and the Staff of Pine Ridge Health Care Center. Those attending the services are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel. Friends may also call at the residence of Mrs. Love's daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marie) Elliott, 114 Muddy Branch Road, Elizabethton, and Mrs. Kenneth (Nancy) Calloway, 614 Fuller Street, Elizabethton.
