CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Allen France Lovelace, 11 Sep 2002 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Allen F. Lovelace Allen France Lovelace, 74, 208 Allen Avenue, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, September 11, 2002, at his residence. Mr. Lovelace was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Thomas and Carrie Russell Lovelace. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Mr. Lovelace and had lived in Detroit, Mich., for 30 years before returning to Elizabethton. He was a retired factory worker and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Vicky Lynn Wooten Lovelace; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard S. and Kathy Lovelace, Detroit, Mich., Mitchell A. and Wilma Lovelace, of Indiana, and Michael A. Lovelace, Elizabethton; a daughter, Lisa M. Lovelace, Elizabethton; a sister, Pauline Lewis, of Florida; and four brothers, Clinton Lovelace, Johnson City, Glen Lovelace, Detroit, Mich., Tom Lovelace, Hampton, and Ed Lovelace, Elizabethton, Eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. LOVELACE -- Funeral services for Allen France Lovelace, 74, 208 Allen Avenue, Elizabethton, who died Wednesday, September 11, 2002, will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, September 14, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ken Bewley, the Rev. Greg Lovelace and Mr. Paul Gabinet officiating. Music will be provided by Barbara Peters and Jamie Peters. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, September 16, in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home with military graveside services accorded by the Captain Lynn H. Folsom VFW Post No. 2166. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Smith, Ralph Morris, Gary Green, Allen Douglas, Dr. Kaplan, Dr. David Jones and his fishing buddies. A special "Thank You" to the staff of Adventa Hospice. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. To those who prefer, memorials may be made to Adventa Hospice.
