India V. Lyon 

Mrs. India V. Lyon, 88, formerly of Franklin Place Drive, 
Elizabethton, died Wednesday, November 26, 2003, at Hermitage 
Health Care Center following a brief illness.
Mrs. Lyon was a native of Dickenson County, Va., and had resided 
in Carter County since 1932. She was the daughter of the late 
Elbert and Ina Phillips Fleming and was also preceded in death by 
her husband, Harold Lyon, in 1979, two brothers, Homer Fleming and 
Ralph Campbell, and two sisters, Miss June Fleming and Miss Grace 
Fleming.
Mrs. Lyon had retired as a sales clerk at City Drug. She was a member 
of Valley Forge Christian Church and the Hampton Garden Club. 
Survivors include two sisters, Marie Hileman, Hampton, and Myra Roloff, 
Tampa, Fla. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, November 28, 
at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Dwayne Calhoun, minister, 
officiating. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Friday.
