Lyons 08/23/99 Mrs. Helen Marie Lyons, 85, 204 Taylor Avenue, Johnson City, died Thursday, August 19, 1999, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Lyons was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late William A. and Sally Bowers Richardson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John R. Lyons Jr., July 3, 1995, a son, W.A. Lyons, in 1982, and by three brothers and a sister. Mrs. Lyons was a homemaker and a member of College Park Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Jerry Dickeson, of the home; six grandchildren, Donna Brookshear and Carla Miller, both of Jonesborough, Wayne Lyons, Elizabethton, Rebecca Stout, Ricky Lyons and Jennifer Mayberry, all of Johnson City; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two special sisters-in-law and two special brothers-in-law. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements LYONS -- Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Marie Lyons, 85, 204 Taylor Avenue, Johnson City, who died Thursday, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Rev. Eugene Osborne and Rev. Ted Hilton officiating. Music will be under the direction of Tommy Williams, soloist, and Suzanne Young, violinist. Interment will follow in the Wilson Cemetery with Rev. David Morgan officiating at the graveside service. Active pallbearers will be John Stines, Howard Richardson, Rondal Richardson, Billy Richardson, Mike Lowe, Mike Wallace, Gary Williams and Mark Lyons. Honorary pallbearers will be Brenton Berry, James Berry, Charles Berry, Shay Grindstaff, David Richardson, Rev. D.C. Byrd, Ollie Richardson, Grover Richardson, Donnie Lyons and Wayne Richardson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the services. Friends may also call at the residence, 204 Taylor Avenue, Johnson City, any time. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
