McGee Mrs. Winona "Cricket" Campbell McGee, 83, 186 Mill Pond Road, Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Johnson City Medical Center, following an extended illness. Mrs. McGee was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late James L. and Elsie Goodwin Campbell. Mrs. McGee was retired from North American Rayon Corporation and was of the Christian faith. She truly loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter McGee, in 1990, a grandson, Troy McGee, and by three brothers and four sisters. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Jim Matheson of Elizabethton and Shelia and Tony Ruston of Johnson City; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Eddie and Ginny McGee, Johnny and Kay McGee, all of Elizabethton, and Bobby McGee and his fiancée, Wanda Pierce of Hampton; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Carson and Kathy Campbell of Johnson City; and three sisters-in-law, Nadine Campbell of Elizabethton, Blanch Campbell of Maryland and Mary Larsen of California. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The graveside service and interment for Mrs. McGee will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, July 2, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Harold McNabb officiating. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Friends may call at the residence of Mrs. McGee's daughter, Jackie Matheson, 133 Journeys End Road, Elizabethton.
