John McGuire Jr. 





    John McGuire Jr., 77, 17599 Whitney Road, Strongsville, Ohio, died there 

Monday, July 31, 2006. 





    Mr. McGuire was a native of Carter County and had lived in Ohio for a 

number of years. He was a retired employee of General Motors. 





    Mr. McGuire was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. 





    Survivors include his wife, Ruth Pierce McGuire; three daughters and sons-

in-law, Helen and Larry Wimmer, Wanda and Doug Kennedy and Mary and Larry 

Stafford; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Cliff and Rae McGuire, Dale and 

Barbara McGuire, Dean and Tammy McGuire, Bobby and Maria McGuire, Michael and 

Teresa McGuire and Nick McGuire; 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; 

and a brother, Russell McGuire. 





    Funeral services and interment were held Thursday in Strongsville, Ohio.
