 Lovie P. Miller 


    Lovie Perry Miller, 89, Roan Highlands Nursing Center, Roan Mountain, died 
Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. 


    A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Lenore and 
Margaret Richardson Shell. 


    Mrs. Miller was a member of East Side Christian Church. 


    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, 
Harrison Perry, her second husband, Earl Miller, three brothers and two 
sisters. 


    Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Milbourn and Judy McKinney of 
Elizabethton; nine grandchildren including special granddaughter, Cynthia 
Grindstaff; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a 
sister, Alma Wright of Johnson City. 


    The funeral service for Mrs. Miller will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, 
March 14, in the Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel of Peace with Mr. John Smith and 
Mr. Seth Andrews, ministers, officiating. Music will be under the direction of 
Mary Smith. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 7 
p.m. Friday, prior to the service. The graveside service and interment will be 
at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, in the Perry Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Active 
pallbearers will be elders and deacons of East Side Christian Church. Those 
who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to East Side 
Christian Church, 1400 Siam Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643. Online condolences
