Myers Faye O'Quinn Myers, 69, 293 Cripple Creek Loop, Watauga, died Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Mrs. Myers was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Herbert and Dorothy Turbyfill O'Quinn. Mrs. Myers was a retired employee of Mayes Tool Company after 16 years as a machine operator. She was a member of the Fellowship Community Church. Mrs. Myers gave birth to only two children but was Mother to many. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Bob Myers; a daughter and son-in- law, Terri and Patrick Barnette, Elizabethton; a son, Keith Myers, Watauga; a granddaughter, Ashley Dugger, Elizabethton; a great-grandson, Dylan Roberts, Elizabethton; two brothers and their families, Ray O'Quinn and Family and Herman O'Quinn and Family; several special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her special lifelong friends, Francis, Shirley and Ruby Jewel. Funeral services for Mrs. Myers will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 2, at the Fellowship Community Church with Pastor Ken Hauser officiating. Music will be provided by Rick Sweeney, Teresa Range and the church choir. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the church at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, and also at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday, will be Danny Ray O'Quinn, Andy O'Quinn, Randy Marlow, Dean Kiser, Doyle Puckett, Beecher O'Quinn, David Barnett and Dale Hartley. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Collier Jordan, Dr. Charles Cole, Dr. Jeff Farrow, Dr. Vivian Clark and members of the Fellowship Community Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Fellowship Community Church. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery. Online condolences may be e-mailed to the Myers family at mfc@chartertn.net.
