Myers Robert H. "Bob" Myers, 72, of Watauga, died Sunday, December 24, 2006, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late L.A. "Bill" and Sue Watson Myers. Mr. Myers was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Faye O'Quinn Myers, February 28, 2006, and two sisters, Mary Stone and Lois Terry. Survivors include a daughter, Terri Myers of Elizabethton; a son, Keith Myers of Watauga; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Penny Myers of King George, Md.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Judy Woodard and Pat and Jay Terry, all of Moulton, Ala.; a granddaughter, Ashley Dugger of Elizabethton; and a great-grandson, Dylan Roberts of Elizabethton. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Myers will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Debra Brewer officiating. Music will be provided by Rick Sweeney and Rhonda and Madilyn McKinney. Graveside services and interment will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 27, in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home. Active pallbearers and Military Honors will be provided by the V.F.W. Post No. 2166 and the Tennessee National Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Barnette, Herman O'Quinn, Ray O'Quinn, Randy Marlow, Beecher O'Quinn and Dale Hartley. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery.
