McHone 01/07/99 Okla G. McHone, 92, formerly of Rt. 3, Roan Mountain, died Monday, January 4, 1999, at Roan Highlands Nursing Center. Mrs. McHone was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Hector N. and Eugenia Julian Boone. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Garland, in 1964, and her second husband, Troy F. McHone, in 1991. Survivors include two daughters, Imogene Bisbee, Leesburg, Fla., and Ardella Kalkes, Chaska, Minn.; three brothers, Blaine Boone, Ivan Boone and Forrest Boone, all of Roan Mountain; and two sisters, Mary Andrews, Roan Mountain, and Pauline Brown, Newport News, Va. Three step- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Tetrick Funeral Home, Rhododendron Chapel, Roan Mountain, is in charge of arrangements. McHONE -- Funeral services for Okla G. McHone, 92, formerly of Rt. 3, Roan Mountain, who died Monday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Rhododendron Chapel, Roan Mountain, with Rev. Mike Lusk officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Melody Trio. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Johnson- Roanview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Friday for the service. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. For those who prefer, memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Carter County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 682, Elizabethton, TN 37643. Tetrick Funeral Home, Rhododendron Chapel, Roan Mountain, is in charge of arrangements.
