Mrs. McKinney was a lifelong resident of Carter County and a daughter of the late Gather and Maggie Hill Hubbard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George McKinney, in 1986; a son, Otis McKinney; a daughter, Negetha Townsend, in 1979; and by one grandchild, five brothers and four sisters. Survivors include two sons, William McKinney, Gray, and Basil McKinney, Bristol, and three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Watson, Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Geraldine Smith, Elizabethton, and Mrs. Shirley Cole, Johnson City. Four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.
