Mr. McKinney was a native of Carter County and the son of the late Nat and Birdie McKinney. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Chasie E. Snyder McKinney, February 13, 1999. Mr. McKinney was retired from North American Rayon Corporation where he was a guard for several years. He was a memer of Martindale Baptist Church and a member of Dashiell Masonic Lodge #238 F&AM and the Knoxville Scottish Rites. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Malcolm and Lana McKinney, Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren, Rick McKinney, Elizabethton, and Tessa Kirk, Chattanooga; two great-granddaughters, Madison and Abbigale McKinney, both of Elizabethton; and a sister, Olene Willocks, Johnson City.
