CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Janice Ruth Deloach McClanahan, 9 Dec 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Janice McClanahan BULLS GAP, Va. -- Janice Ruth Deloach McClanahan, 62, 899 Bulls Gap-Saint Clair Road, Bulls Gap, Va. died Tuesday, December 9, 2003 due to injuries she received in an automobile accident. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Franklin and Bonnie Odom Deloach. She had lived in Hawkins for several years. She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. In her earlier years, she was employed at E. Watts John's Insurance Agency. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. McClanahan was preceded in death by her husband, Frank McClanahan, March 11, 2002 and three brothers, Charles Franklin Deloach, Richard D. Deloach and an infant brother. Survivors include a son, Don Swanner, Morristown; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Jerry Sexton, Bulls Gap; a granddaughter, Bonnie Morgan; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth L. and Pat Deloach, 395 Garrison Road, Elizabethton; one aunt, Dot Odom Grindstaff, Elizabethton; two nieces, Lucy Webster, of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Mary Jane French, of Friendswood, Texas; one nephew, Kenneth A. Deloach, of Suffolk, Va. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2003 at Mayes Mortuary, Morristown. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Mayes Mortuary, Morristown.
