Hallie McInturff

Hallie McInturff, age 76, Arny Street, Elizabethton, died 
Friday, November 28, 2003, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following 
a brief illness. A native of Sullivan County, she had lived in 
Carter County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late 
Fred and Mary C. Carr Malone. She was of the baptist faith and a 
homemaker. Mrs. McInturff was also a former employee of Bembery 
Corporation. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert 
McInturff, in 1988, two brothers, Herman and Harold Malone, one 
sister, Juanita Malone, and a special friend, Dewey Collins.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard and Kthy 
McInturff, Elizabethotn, David and Janyce McInturff, Watauga; a 
daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Mike Wagner, Boone, N.C.; eight 
grandsons, Brad McInturff, Chad McInturff, Derrick McInturff, all of 
Elizabethton, David Alan McInturff, Hunter McInturff, Derrick Taylor 
all of Watauga, All Wagner, Boone, N.C., Joey Chambers, Elizabethton; 
three great-grandchildren, Chasity McInturff, Elizabethton, and T.F. 
Malone, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Ther funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, December 1, 
2003, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, with the Rev. Bobby 
Stout officiating. Interment will follow in Lyons Chapel Cemeter. 
Active pallbearers will be Keith Malone, Jeremy Malone, Bobby Bullock, 
Derrick Taylor, Johnny Bowman, and Ben Bowman. Honorary pallbearers 
will be doctors and nursing staff of ICU unit at Sycamore Shoals 
Hospital. The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Monday, 
prior to the service in the chapel, or friends may call at the home 
of her son, David McInturff, 221 Cripple Creek Loop, Watauga, any time.
