Wreatha B. McQueen

Mrs. Wreatha Bise McQueen, age 92, Elizabethton, died Saturday, 
November 22, 2003 in the Erlanger Hospital, Chattanooga. 
A native of Dickinson County, Va., she was born November 29, 1910 
to the late William Robert and Bertha Ella Meaders Bise. 
Mrs. McQueen was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the 
Elizabethton Women's Club. 
Mrs. McQueen was preceded in death by her husband, Ivory Shelton 
McQueen, 1976; one son, Dr. Gary Wayne McQueen, 2002; three brothers, 
Garcie Bise, Carson Bise, Herschel Bise; four sisters, Jessie Kate 
Stambaugh, Sarah Robertson, Lola Mainzer and Lora Boyd. 
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Henry W. 
Withers, Signal Mtn.; Janice and Carroll L. Vanover, Coleyville, Texas; 
Dr. Martha and D. Hal Cobble, Roanoke, Va.; two grandchildren, Beverly 
Cobble Rodriguez, Dallas, Texas; Charles L. Vanover, Coleyville, Texas; 
several nieces and nephews also survive. 
The funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 
2003 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Rev. 
Joe Sorah officiating. The graveside service and interment will be 
conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at Happy Valley 
Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and 
friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday 
in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home. Online condolences
