Robert C. Meredith 

Robert C. Meredith, age 91, West "H" Street, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, 
August 19, 2003 at James H. Quillen Veterans Medical Center Nursing Home 
following a brief illness. 
A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late William Robert and 
Minnie C. Garrison Meredith. He was a member of East Side Free Will Baptist 
Church. 
He was a retired supervisor from Bemberg. 
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during World War II; during his 
enlistment, he received two bronze stars and one silver star. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Veda Treadway Meredith, four brothers 
and five sisters. 
Survivors include one sister, Ruby Donnelly, of Orlando, Fla.. Several nieces 
and nephews also survive. 
The funeral service for Robert C. Meredith will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. 
Thursday, August 21, 2003 at Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel of Peace with Rev. 
Howard Messer officiating. Music will be under the direction of Jennifer 
Martin. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 9 a.m. 
Friday, August 22, 2003 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers 
will be deacons of the church. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the 
church. Those who plan to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at 
the funeral home at 8:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. 
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home 
chapel. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in 
memory of Mr. Meredith to Eastside Free Will Baptist Church, 704 Siam Road, 
Elizabethton, TN 37643. Online condolences may be sent to the family through
