He was a native of Carter County and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was a son of the late Jim and Rhoda Hardin Miller. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by one son and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Miller was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired self-employed house painter. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Keen Miller; three sons: Fred Miller, Jr., Johnson City; Larry Miller and Darrell Miller, both of Telford; one daughter, Helen Human, Johnson City; two brothers: Carl Miller and Ray Miller, both of Johnson City; three sisters: Mary Ayers, Johnson City; Ruby Worthley, Elizabethton; and Betty Drewery, Springfield, Tenn.; and six grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Morris-Baker Funeral Home (282-1521), 2001 Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, is in charge of arrangements. MILLER -- Funeral services for Fred Miller, 67, 902 Embreeville Road, Johnson City, who died Friday, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday from the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The Rev. Bill Greer will officiate. Burial will follow services in Snyder Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends, Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Virginia Keen Miller; three sons: Fred Miller, Jr., and his wife, Leslie; Larry Miller and his wife, Lawana, and Darrell Miller, all of Telford; one daughter, Helen Human and her husband, Leroy, Johnson City; two brothers: Carl Miller and Ray Miller, both of Johnson City; three sisters: Mary Ayers, Johnson City; Ruby Worthley, Elizabethton; and Betty Drewery, Springfield, Tenn; two sisters-in-law: Ruby Miller, Elizabethton; and Joyce Miller, Michigan; six grandsons and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home of a son at 127 Slate Hill Road, Telford.
