Miller 3/13/00 Nannie Teague Miller, 93, 1326 Rittertown Road, Hampton, died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Jackson Lee and Rhoda Jane Waters Teague. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Miller, Oct. 3, 1960, seven brothers, two sisters and one grandson, Sgt. Foster W. Miller. She was of the Baptist faith and the former owner and operator of A.J. "Coon" Miller Store in Hampton. Survivors include one daughter, Rhoda Miller McKinney, Hampton; one granddaughter, Nannie Rosalee McKinney, Hampton; two grandsons: Johnny Ray McKinney and Ford J. Townsend, Hampton; six great-grandchildren: Foster W. Miller, Wendy Reece, Michelle Miller, and Cody Townsend, all of Elizabethton; Gary Townsend, Hampton; and Sandy Rawley, Susanville, Calif.; four great- great grandchildren; an extra special friend, Wanda Townsend; a special friend, Brenda Bowling Miller, both of Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 423-542-2232, is in charge of arrangements. www.Funeral-Plans.com/Tetrick MILLER -- Funeral services for Nannie Teague Miller, beloved mother and grandmother, 93, 1326 Rittertown Road, Hampton, who died Saturday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Mr. Dwayne Calhoun, minister, officiating. Graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 13, at Captain Nelson Cemetery on Ripshin Mountain. Active pallbearers will be Verlin Stevens, Leslie Stevens, Michael Ensor, Gary Townsend, Zane Teague and Michael Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Walter, Gene Smith, Eddie Teague, Johnny Teague, David Teague, Richard Kyker, Glen Teague, and Delaney Teague. Everyone will meet at 10:55 a.m. Monday at the cemetery for the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, or at the home of a grandson, Ford J. Townsend, 1297 Rittertown Road, Hampton, any time.
