CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Earleen R. Montgomery, 1 Apr 2005 ----¤¤¤---- Earleen R. Montgomery, 74, Parham Street, Hampton, surrounded by her loved ones, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Friday, April 1, 2005, at Stockton Residential Care Home. Mrs. Montgomery was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Rev. Fred and Gertrude Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Montgomery, two brothers, Ralph and Ed Wilson, a sister, Helen Bennett, and a nephew, Gary Wilson. Mrs. Montgomery retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant and food service worker. She loved to travel, cook and spend time in her flowerbeds. She enjoyed life with family and friends. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Fred and Kathy Montgomery and Rick Montgomery, all of Elizabethton, and Randy and Melody Montgomery, Hampton; six beloved grandchildren, Daniel Phillips, Scotty Montgomery, Joey Montgomery, Amy Gentry, Kelly Hatchette and Nicholas Montgomery; three beloved great-grandchildren, Emily Byrd, Gracie Montgomery and Kaili Hatchette; a sister and brother-in-law, Louella and Leroy Stockton, Roan Mountain; several special nieces, Diane Tolley, Teresa Cannon, Joan Estep, Tammy Blevins, Brenda Tester and Rita Stoots; and special nephews, Roger Wilson, Johnny Joe Bennett and Tony Bennett. Funeral services for Mrs. Montgomery will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 3, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with Rev. Arvil Williams and Rev. John Montgomery officiating. Music will be under the direction of The Cook Family and Edwin Taylor, organist. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service, or at the residence, 112 Parham Street, Hampton, at anytime, or you may call the residence at 725-3295. Graveside services and interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 4, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Daniel Phillips, Scotty Montgomery, Joey Montgomery, David Tolley, Robby Tolley, Josh Duval, Todd Estep and Tony Bennett. Those planning to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m. Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family would like to remember Mrs. Montgomery's special caregivers with Hospice and the Stockton Residential Care Home: Katina Street, Renlee Whitehead, June Henson, Diane Tolley and Bunny Gryder.
