Arlena "Lena" Moore

Arlena "Lena" Moore, 79, Danner Road, Elizabethton, formerly of 
Lincoln Drive, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, February 25, 2004, 
at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Moore was a native of Dickson County, Va., and the daughter of 
the late Pink Edward and Stella Maude Matherly McKinney. She was also 
preceded in death by her husband, Clyde "Cobb" William Moore; infant 
sisters, Mary McKinney and Dorothy Louise McKinney; two sisters, 
Audrey Duty and Anna Ruth Nelson; and a brother, Ollie McKinney. 
Mrs. Moore was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church and a retired 
employee of North American Rayon Corporation. 
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Karen 
Moore, Elizabethton, and Richard Moore and very special daughter-in-
law, Tammy Moore, Elizabethton; a sister, Mildred Campbell, 
Elizabethton; two brothers, Bill McKinney, Elizabethton, and Charles 
McKinney, Daytona Beach, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Joe Nelson, 
Elizabethton; two granddaughters and a grandson-in-law, Christy and 
Adam Griffey, Elizabethton, and Dora "Beth" Moore, of Costa Rica; 
two great-grandchildren, Malana Griffey and McKinley Griffey, both 
of Elizabethton; nieces and nephews, Joan Klove, Joann Vaussas, 
Margo Nelson, Sandra Hyder, Carol Bowers, D.M. Duty, Scott Campbell, 
Linda Hardin, Michael Joe Nelson and Betty Ann Malone; special friends, 
Phyllis Oliver and Sharon and Maynard Peters; and a former daughter-
in-law, Peggy Moore. 
The funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, February 27, 
in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen 
Harris officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral 
home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. Friends may also 
call at the residence of either son, Richard and Tammy Moore, 125 
Danner Road, Elizabethton, or Jerry and Karen Moore, 510 Paty Place, 
Elizabethton. The graveside service and interment will be conducted 
at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 28, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. 
Active pallbearers will be Scott Campbell, "Pink" Edward McKinney, 
Steve McKinney, Maynard Peters, Michael Joe Nelson, Eddie Lewis, 
Raymond "Bud" Bowers, Fred Hyder and Tony Hardin. Honorary 
pallbearers will be Kathy Campbell, Terry and Sue McKinney, Larry 
and Judy McKinney, Arville and Floss McKinney, Roy and Brenda 
McKinney, Glenn and Joan Wright, Howard and Marie Matherly, Marie 
Wright, Rhoda Wright, Ralph and Ruth Williams, Stella Barnett, James 
and Myotka Vines, Dr. David Fenner, Ruby Simerly, Jenny Perry, Jamie 
Oliver, Joyce Grimmett, Phyllis and Richard Oliver, Elizabeth Oaks, 
Judy Scalf and Alice Glass. Those who plan to attend the graveside 
service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m. Saturday 
to go in procession to the cemetery. Online condolences may be sent
