CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Barbara W. Moreland, 24 Jan 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Barbara W. Moreland Barbara W. Moreland, 74, 128 Ford Lane, Elizabethton, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at her residence following a brief illness. A native of Carter County, Mrs. Moreland was the daughter of the late Clyde H. and Chelsia Mae Taylor White. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. (Bob) Moreland, Oct. 7, 1999, and a brother, Roy White. Mrs. Moreland was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, Elizabethton and a former member of Moore's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Geneva Moreland, Elizabethton, Greg and Melissa Moreland, Elizabethton, three grandchildren, Todd Moreland, Allentown, Pa., Travis Moreland, Elizabethton, and Tara Moreland, Piney Flats; three great-grandchildren, Chelsia Moreland, Barbara Moreland, and Zoey Moreland, all of Elizabethton; three sisters and brothers- in-law, Shirley and Calvin Quesenberry, Elizabethton, Gail and Don Parkey, Elizabethton, Janice and Ron Oliver, Blountville; one brother and two sisters- in-law, Henry Clay and Jane White, Blountville, Myrtie Deal, Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews. Moreland, 74, 128 Ford Lane, Elizabethton, who died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, with the Rev. Elmer Carter officiating. Music will be under the direction of Carol Bowers and the Rev. Phil Poston. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at Happy Valley Memorial Park, with the Rev. Phil Poston officiating. Active pallbearers will be Todd Moreland, Travis Moreland, Tara Moreland, David White, Chris Oliver, Randy Taylor, Don Parkey, and Ron Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Quesenberry, Freeman Taylor, Coy Taylor, Jack Taylor, Harold Taylor, Glen White, Larry Wayne Estep, Roger Shoun, Sonny Deal, Roger Deal and Charles Moreland. Those who plan to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, or friends may call at her residence, 128 Ford Lane, Elizabethton, any time.
