CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Ida A. Morris, 2 Feb 2003 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Ida A. Morris Ida A. Morris, 94, formerly of 1986 Bristol Highway, Watauga, Tenn., died Sunday, February 2, 2003 in Hillview Health Center following a brief illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Richards Shipley. Mrs. Morris was a member of Borderview Christian Church and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Johnson City Senior Citizens. Mrs. Morris is preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Morris; a daughter and son-in-law, Mabel and Woodrow "Woody" Bare; a granddaughter, Mary Bare; five sisters, and five brothers. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline and Bill Earhart, Elizabethton; Dora and Earl Williams, Elizabethton; two grandchildren and spouses, Steven and Claudia Earhart, Burlington, N.C.; David and Stephanie Bare, Elizabethton; four great grandchildren, Devin and Derek Earhart, both of Burlington, N.C.; Matthew and Ryan Bare, both of Elizabethton; one sister, Ollie Massengill, Watauga; several nieces and nephews also survive. Morris, 94, formerly of 1986 Bristol Highway, Watauga, Tenn., who died Sunday, February 2, 2003 at Hillview Health Center, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2003 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home with Mr. Ron Marvel and Mr. Kenneth Caswell, ministers, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Four in the Faith. The graveside services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Marion Shipley, David Bare, Lawrence Ritchie, Ralph Morris, Jim Smith, Junior Ellis, Steven Earhart, and Everett Schramm. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons and elders of Borderview Christian Church and staff of Hillview Health Center. Those who plan to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home chapel at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
