Mr. Robert "Bob" Morris, 89, of Arlington Drive, Johnson City, 
died Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, in the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Morris was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Virg 
Alfred and Lucy Glover Morris. He was a farmer until 1943, and retired 
from General Mills in 1977 with 28 years of service. He was a member 
of the Pinecrest Christian Church. He was preceded in death by three 
sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth L. Morris, of the home; two sisters, 
Annis McCracken, Crossville, and Mamie Erwin, Johnson City; and several 
nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Robert "Bob" Morris will be conducted at 2 p.m. 
Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral 
Home with Mr. H. Clay Bailey and Mr. Henry Reynolds, ministers officiating. 
Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers 
will be Scott Snell, Carl Tipton, Matthew Lunceford, Joel Bishop, Henry 
Lowrance and Johnny Tunnell. The family will receive friends in the funeral 
home from 1-2 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. Friends may call at the 
residence, 112 Arlington Drive, Johnson City, at any time. Online
