Mr. Mosley was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Dan Ellis and Ellen Marie Dugger Mosley Sr. He was preceded in death by two sons and one brother. Survivors include ten daughters, Carolyn Brady of Hyattsville, MD; Patsy McFall of Johnson City; Vivian Stamps and Shelia Mosley, both of Bladensburg, MD; Sherriel Vargas and Wanda Mosley both of New Carrollton, MD; Joan Mayhew of Silver Spring, MD; Sandra Ritchie of Tampa, FL; Shirley Mosley and Theresa Powell both of Afton, TN; four sons, Steven Mosley of Sterling, VA; James and Stanley Mosley both of Bladensburg, MD, and Mark Mosley of Chucky, TN; one brother Bill Mosley of Elizabethton. A special granddaughter, Pamela Fender of Jonesborough, thirty-two grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, one niece and one nephew also survive. The family of Dan Ellis will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Monday, August 23, 1999 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses, c/o a daughter Carolyn Brady, 4618 Burlington Road, Hyattsville, MD 20781. There will be a private disposition at a later date. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
