CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Beulah F. Mosley, 25 Apr 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Beulah F. Mosley, 77, Georgia St., Johnson City, died Sunday, April 25, 2004 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Mount Airy, N.C. and had lived in Johnson City for 43 years. Mrs. Mosley was a daughter of the late Pierce and Mattie Cook Ramey. She and her late husband, Wilfred Mosley, who died in 1982, owned and operated Mosley Speed Wash in Johnson City for 43 years. Mrs. Mosley was a member and former adult ladies Sunday school teacher of Sinking Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Claude Ramey. Survivors include two sons, Dennis W. Mosley and Clark W. Mosley, both of Johnson City; a daughter, Linda Hughes, with whom she made her home; one sister, Stella Carrico, of Albermarle, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Joey Hughes, Patrick Hughes, Misty Shelton, Josh Mosley, Amber Mosley, Tracie Mosley and Christopher Mosley. Six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mrs. Mosley will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Reece Harris will officiate. The music will be by the Ladies' Ensemble of Sinking Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Active pallbearers will be Dennis Mosley, Clark Mosley, Joey Hughes, Patrick Hughes, Josh Mosley and Christopher Mosley. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Sinking Creek Baptist Church. The committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2004 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Friends are asked to meet the family at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. to go to the cemetery. It was Mrs. Mosley's request that memorials be made to The Pavilion Fund of Sinking Creek Baptist Church, 2313 Elizabethton Hwy., Johnson City, TN 37601. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Barbara Mitchell and Penny Jones, her guardian angels, to Kim Hughes for her loving care and Dr. Clifford Wiegand for his care beyond the call of duty; also to the Sinking Creek Baptist Church for their love through the years.
