Lula B. Myers

   Lula B. Myers, 85, 989 Blue Springs Road, Elizabethton, died 
Wednesday, September 1, 1999, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a 
brief illness.
   Mrs. Myers was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the 
late Godfrey and Eliza Oliver Williams. She was also preceded in death 
by her husband, Aaron Myers, September 29, 1959, a daughter, Bonnie 
Bowers, three sisters, two stepdaughters and a stepson.
   Mrs. Myers was a member of Nidiffer's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. 
She was a former employee of Bemberg Industries and North American 
Rayon Corporation.
   Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Gladys and Alfred 
Roberts, Cumberland, Ohio, and Emma Peters, Elizabethton; four sons and 
three daughters-in-law, Don and Carol Myers, Lloyd Myers, Wesley and 
Lois Myers and Melvin and Virginia Myers, all of Elizabethton; a sister, 
Lucy Williams, Elizabethton; and a stepson, Jay Myers of Michigan. 
Seventeen grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one great-great-
grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive.
   Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

   MYERS -- Funeral services for Lula B. Myers, 85, 989 Blue Springs Road, 
Elizabethton, who died Wednesday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday 
at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Rev. Ed Davis and Rev. 
Earnest Garland officiating. Music will be under the direction of 
Glenda Collins, soloist. Interment will follow at Caldwell Springs 
Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be David Myers, Glen Roberts, Steve 
Roberts, Michael Peters, Lynn Bowers and Keith Peters. Honorary pallbearers 
will be Dr. David Fenner, Dr. Jerry Gastineau, Jack Collins, Darrell 
Bowers, Sonny Mottern, Sonny Skaggs, Joel Williams Jr. and Robin Meredith. 
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral 
home. Friends may also call at the home of a son, Don Myers, 965 Blue 
Springs Road, Elizabethton, any time. For those who prefer, memorials 
in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Carter County Rescue Squad, P.O. 
Box 682, Elizabethton, TN 37644. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 
is in charge of arrangements
