Myers Mrs. Susan Lewis Myers, 99, died on May 21, 2002, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Mrs. Myers was a native of Carter County, born on July 8, 1902, to Murry and Docia Lewis. At the time of her death, she was oldest living member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her only child, Teddy Ray Myers, in 1973, and by her husband, the Rev. Samuel Webb Myers in 1987. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Hannah Myers Fair, two grandsons, Robert Lee Myers, Sr., and Phillip Ray Myers, four great- grandchildren, Susan Hannah Elizabeth Myers Byers, Robert Lee Myers, Jr., Samuel Ray Myers and Sarah LeAnn Myers, one sister, Mrs. Maude Smith, and several nieces and nephews. Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, is in charge of arrangements. MYERS -- Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Lewis Myers, 99, who died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2002, in the Riverside Chapel at Tetrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Hawk, and the Rev. Dr. William L. Duncan, pastor of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church, officiating. The graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2002, at Happy Vally Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from deacons and friends at Caldwell Springs Baptist Church. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 1:55 p.m. for the graveside service. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2002, in the Riverside Chapel at Tetrick Funeral Home. Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, is in charge of arrangements.
