"Ruth" Nave 11/01/99 Mrs. H. "Ruth" Nave, 74, 112 Echo Drive, Elizabethton, died Thursday, October 28, 1999, at Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Nave was a lifelong resident of Elizabethton and a daughter of the late Harmon "Shorty" and Margaret Crowe Collins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Nave, in 1983. Mrs. Nave was a retired employee of Wal-Mart and a member of the Senior Citizens. She was a member and Sunday School teacher of Oak Street Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret "Ann" Hall, Hampton; two grandchildren, Bonnie Hall, Hampton, and Traci Evans, Roanoke, Va.; and three great-grandchildren, Benjamin Hall and Brianna Evans, both of Roanoke, Va., and Antonio "Tony" Williams, Macon, Ga. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. NAVE -- Funeral services for Mrs. H. "Ruth" Nave, 74, 112 Echo Drive, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Oak Street Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Hendrich officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Gene Vandeventer, Robert Lipford, Doug Vandeventer, Will Andrews, Alberto Santiago and Jim Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Hall, Dude Lipford and members of Oak Street Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Street Baptist Church, 804 Oak Street, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643. The family will receive friends at Oak Street Baptist Church from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Friends may call at the residence any time. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
