Nave 06/23/99 Robert F. "Rob" Nave, 76, Potterack Road, Hampton, died Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at Ridgecrest Manor Nursing Home in Duffield, Va., following a lengthy illness. Mr. Nave was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County and a son of the late Charlie and Delia Simerly Nave. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Earnest, George and J.C. Nave. Mr. Nave was a retired farmer and was of the Baptist faith. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II with seven years of active duty. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Buddy Joe and Brenda Nave, Elizabethton, and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Geneva and J. B. Turbyfill, Farmville, Va., and Lorraine McGrath, Stockport, Ohio. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. NAVE -- Graveside funeral services for Robert F. "Rob" Nave, 76, Potterack Road, Hampton, who died Tuesday, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Mr. Dave Wolfe, minister, officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday before going to the cemetery for the service. Hathaway- Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
