Nave 4/13/00 Coy J. "Junior" Nave, 70, 525 Long Hollow Road, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Nave was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Coy E. and Mamie Hyder Nave. Mr. Nave was a former employee of North American Rayon Corporation, and was a retired carpenter and farmer. He was a member, Deacon and Teacher of the Adult Mens Sunday School Class of Zion Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the United States Marine Corps. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Joey and Pam Nave, Elizabethton, and Sherrel and Cindy Nave, Johnson City; four sisters and two brothers-in-law Pansy and Frank Taylor, Blanche and Jack Dolan and Mary Nave, all of Elizabethton, and Vorita Hodge, of Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Farris Nave, Elizabethton; a granddaughter, Jessica Honaker; two grandsons, Hunter Nave and Joshua Nave; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Lester, Elaine and Travis Brumit and Dean and Carol Blevins. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. NAVE -- Funeral services for Coy J. "Junior" Nave, 70, 525 Long Hollow Road, Elizabethton, who died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, April 14, at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Sherrel Nave, Rev. Harold Campbell and Rev. C.W. Snodgrass officiating. Steve Vannoy, Audrey Taylor and the Men's Quartet of the church will provide the music. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, in the McKinney Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the church at 7:50 p.m. Friday and also at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, will be Oscar Trivette, Stuart Dyer, Bill Dolan, Travis Brumit, Frank Greene, Claude Morton, Duane Forbes, Ray Loveless, Billy Joe Waycaster and Mike McKinney. Honorary pallbearers will be Olen Pate, Clyde Hodge, Lester Brumit, Dean Blevins, the Deacons and Mens Sunday School Class of Zion Baptist Church and the Praying Mountain Men. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Zion Baptist Church. Friends may also call at the residence of a son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Pam Nave, 142 Bear Hollow Road, Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Saturday. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
