Carroll R. Nave

Carroll Reece Nave, 81, of Bloomington, Ind., died Sunday November 
10, 2002 at Heritage Manor, Normal, Ind. A native of Hampton, Tenn., 
he was a son to Joel and Hattie Campbell Nave. Mr. Nave was a veteran 
of World War II, entering the armed services on Nov. 14, 1942. He was 
honorably discharged on Dec. 22, 1945. Mr. Nave served as a combat 
infantryman and was awarded the World War II Victory Ribbon, American 
Theater Ribbon, two Bronze Service Stars; one Bronze Arrowhead 
Philippine Liberation Ribbon, and a Purple Heart. Mr. Nave was employed 
for 20 years with SH Kress Company, then with Ben Franklin Stores as a 
Regional Zone Manager for 24 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member 
of Wesley United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his 
parents and a brother and sister, both in infancy.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ina Dellinger, two sons and 
daughters-in-law, Mike and Theresa Nave, of Arcola, Ind., and Timothy 
and Betty Nave, of Normal, Ind.; a daughter, Janice Valyn Saylor, of 
Greenwood, Ind. Seven grandchildren, Michaela, Kiley, Kelsey, and 
Talisa Nave; Lauren and Evan Nave, and Nathaniel Saylor also survive. 
Calvert-Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, Ind. is in charge of 
arrangements.

NAVE -- Funeral services for Carroll Reece Nave, 81, of Bloomington, 
Ind., who died Sunday, November 10, 2002, will be held at 11 a.m. 
Thursday, November 14, 2002 at Calvert-Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, 
Ind. Burial will be held in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, Ind. 
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Memorial Home. 
Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington, 
Ind. Calvert-Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, Ind. is in charge of 
arrangements.
