CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Helen Nave, 21 Jan 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Helen Nave Helen Nave, 84, formerly of 226 S. Roan Street, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, January 21, 2003, at Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Nave was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Fuson L. and Anna Lee Adams Nidiffer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Nave, June 23, 1998, a daughter, Cora Lee Culbert, four brothers, Howard Nidiffer, Jack Nidiffer, Paul Nidiffer and Lloyd Nidiffer, and a sister, Mary Glyn Taylor. Mrs. Nave was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church and was a retired employee of East Tennessee Undergarment. Survivors include three daughters and four sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Vergil Stout, Gray, Wanda and Glenn Max Taylor and Louella and Chuck Randolph, all of Johnson City, and Kenneth Culbert, Elizabethton; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger Dale and Judy Nave, Gray; eight grandchildren, Darrin Stout, Kevin Stout, Ginger Holdren, Brian Culbert, Keith Nave, Shawn Nave, Mitzi Puckett and Shana Sutherland; five great-grandchildren, Kalee Holdren, Cortlyn Holdren, Trevor Taylor, Macy Puckett and Brilee Culbert; two brothers, Robert Nidiffer, Knoxville, and Jessee Smith Nidiffer, Johnson City; and a sister, Wilma Norman, Knoxville. Roan Street, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, January 21, 2003, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, January 24, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Reece Harris officiating. Music will be under the direction of Anita Whitehead, soloist, and Mary Lou O'Quinn, pianist. Graveside services and interment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 25, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Paul Brown, Joe Wilson, Charles McQueen, Gwen Hendrix and Harley Carden. A special thank you to the employees of Appalachian Christian Village. Those who plan to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home.
