CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Cecil R. Nave, 23 Nov 1964 ----¤¤¤---- Obituary appeared in the Tuesday, November 24, 1964 Elizabethton Star Cecil R. Nave, 64, of Route 1, Elizabethton, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Nave was cutting wood in the mountains when stricken by the attack. A native of Carter County, he was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ollie Bowers Nave of the home; five brothers, John and Earnest Nave of Flint, Michigan; Ray Nave of Ohio; Walter Nave of Route 2, Elizabethton; and Matt Nave of California. Tetrick Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. Funeral services for Cecil R. Nave will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday from the New Horseshoe Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. James Hobbs. Music by the Hardin Brothers Quartet. The body will be returned to the home at 4 p.m. Tuesday and removed to the church at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday to await the service hour. Active pallbearers will be: Crowe Nidiffer, Croy Nave, Chester Nave, Ralph Nave, Wesley Grindstaff, Sting Bowers, Robert Williams and Roy Coleman. Flowerbearers will be friends.
