A native of Carter County, Mr. Nidiffer was a son of the late Henry Joseph and Martha Bowers Nidiffer. Mr. Nidiffer was a former employee of North American Rayon Corporation and was a retired employee of Shady Valley Apple Orchard. He attended the Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ella Louise Nidiffer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Annie and Ronnie Bradley, and Tracey and Ricky Pritchard, all of Elizabethton; one brother, Arthur Nidiffer, Elizabethton; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Dean Parlier, Larry Campbell and Chamers Dugger. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. NIDIFFER -- Funeral services for Finley Nidiffer, 73, Hermitage Nursing Home, Elizabethton, who died Friday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Sherrill Nave and Ed Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Buckles Cemetery. Active pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, will be Tim Parlier, Bryce McCoy, Conway Markland, Dean Parlier, Tommy Campbell and Murrell Nidiffer. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Asher, Lee Sutherland, Dean Harper, Allen Richardson, J.N. Taylor, Odell Bowers, Glen Campbell, Harry Smith, Buford Peters, Dr. Robert Walter, and nurses and staff of Hermitage Nursing Home. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of Ella Louise Nidiffer, 214-A South Hills Drive, Elizabethton. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
