Oliver Maggie Nidiffer Oliver, 90, 794 Blue Springs Road, Elizabethton, died Friday, March 16, 2001, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Oliver was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Cart and Nancy Campbell Nidiffer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Clate Oliver, March 31, 1984, and by four sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Oliver was a member of Blue Springs Christian Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include five daughters and five sons-in-law, Irene and C.E. Taylor, June and Mack Collins, Martine and Carrell Lewis, Shirley and Harold Morrell, all of Elizabethton, and Marilyn and Gene Bell, Columbus, Ga.; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Jerald and Sue Oliver, Larry and Nyoka Oliver, Lanny and Peggy Oliver, Odell Oliver and Steve Oliver, all of Elizabethton; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nine sisters-in- law, Mae Buckles, Minnie Williams, Hazel Oliver, Nadine Ward, Joann Ward, Wanda Bennett, Lois Vines, Madge Nidiffer and Charlotte Nidiffer, all of Elizabethton; a very special friend, Dorothy Oliver Gogan, Johnson City; and a special caregiver, Kathleen Thomas, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, (423) 543-4917, is in charge of arrangements. www.Funeral-Plans.com/Tetrick OLIVER -- Funeral services for Maggie Nidiffer Oliver, 90, 794 Blue Springs Road, Elizabethton, who died Friday, March 16, 2001, were conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Mr. Richard Thomason, minister, officiating, with Eulogy provided by her grandson, Jerald Oliver Jr. Music was under the direction of Kay Collins and Joy Babb, soloists, and Jill Kemp, pianist. Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at Buckles Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the following grandsons and great- grandsons: Jerald Oliver Jr., A.J. Oliver, Sean Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Steve Oliver, Evan Graham, Ryan Graham and Joseph Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Blue Springs Christian Church. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 1:55 p.m. Sunday for the graveside service. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
