Flora Oliver Mrs. E. Flora Oliver, 81, 609 Cedar Avenue, Elizabethton, died Thursday, April 18, 2002, at Hillview Health Center. Mrs. Oliver was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Johnny and Dora Hurley Dugger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Oliver. Mrs. Oliver had been employed at several restaurants in town, including Dino's Restaurant. She was a member of Southside Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Wanda and Bob Proffitt, Johnson City, Juanita Turner, Ina and Don Tribble and Vearlean and James Lewis, all of Elizabethton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ray Junior and Sheryl Garland and Ronnie Garland, all of Elizabethton; four sisters, Evadean Markland and Beatrice Cole, both of Elizabethton, Pearl Edwards, Johnson City, and Cleta Mae Edwards, Lenoir, N.C.; and a brother, Chalmers Dugger, Elizabethton. Thirteen grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. OLIVER -- Graveside services for Mrs. E. Flora Oliver, 81, 609 Cedar Avenue, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, April 18, 2002, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Steve Burleson officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Saturday, will be Joey Proffitt, Rodney Ford, Chad Garland, Phillip Garland, Jim Lewis and Keith Edwards. The family would like to send a special "Thank You" to the staff and employees of Hillview Health Center. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel.
