CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Eva Oliver, 5 Mar 1864 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Obituary appeared in the Friday March 6, 1964 Elizabethton Star Mrs. Eva Oliver, 65, of Route 2, Hampton, died at the residence Thursday evening, following an illness of three years. A native of Carter County, she was a member of the Union Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, George Oliver of the home; five sons, Jim and George Oliver, Jr. of Hampton; Johnny Oliver of Orchard Street, Elizabethton; Bud and Bob Oliver of the home; six daughters, Mrs. William Proffitt, Orchard Street, Elizabethton; Mrs. Tom Saults of Jackson, S.C.; Mrs. Troy White of Route 7, Elizabethton; Mrs. Ira Ward of Route 1, Hampton; Mrs. Doyle Kelley of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Miss Linda Sue Oliver of Winter Haven, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Carden of Elizabethton; a brother, Chase Teague of Route 1, Hampton; twenty grandchildren and four great grandchildren survive. Tetrick Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. Funeral services for Mrs. Eva. B. Oliver will be held 2 p.m. Saturday from the Union Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Haskell Ingram Jr. Music by the church choir. The body will be returned to the home at 5 p.m. Friday and removed to the church at noon Saturday to await the service hour. Active pallbearers will be P.F. Smith, G.M. Campbell, Donald Lewis, Ed Lewis, Clyde Campbell, Willard Rainbolt, Haskell Ingram Sr., and Herman Johnson. Flower bearers will be Ladies of the church.
