WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Winnie R. Osborne, 16 Jul 2003 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Winnie R. Osborne Winnie R. Osborne, 98, Osborne Road, Johnson City, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at her residence. Mrs. Osborne was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County and a daughter of the late H.B. Richardson and Vernie Baker Richardson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Osborne, in 1997, a son, William H. Osborne, and by two sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Osborne was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Emma Jean Hawkins, Huntersville, N.C., and Helen R. Sparks, Jonesborough; two sons, Clifford Osborne, Johnson City, and Carl Osborne, Telford; three daughters-in-law, Jane Osborne, Telford, Desserree Osborne, Johnson City, and Wanda Osborne, Fernandina Beach, Fla.; two sons-in-law, Rommie Hawkins, Huntersville, N.C., and Bartley Sparks, Jonesborough; 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend and care-giver, Betty Hall. Morris-Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2001 Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, (423) 282-1521, is serving the family. OSBORNE -- Funeral services for Winnie R. Osborne, 98, Osborne Road, Johnson City, who died Wednesday, July 16, 2003, were conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 19, from the Morris-Baker South Chapel with the Rev. Earl Campbell and the Rev. Hollace Ford officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at Roselawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. D.C. Byrd officiating. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. Sunday and travel in procession to the cemetery. Mrs. Osborne's grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence.
