Roy A. Pealer 





    Roy A. Pealer, 82, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2007, at Cookville 

Regional Medical Center in Cookville, Tenn., with his loving wife and son by 

his side. 





    A native of Watauga, Tenn., he had lived in Celina, Tenn., for the past 50 

years. He was a son of the late Mitch and Helena Pealer. 





    Mr. Pealer served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and had 

worked for the Army Corps of Engineers until he retired. He was an 

accomplished electrician and used his talent to help friends and family. 





    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dean 

Curd, and his first wife, Dorothy Walker Pealer. 





    Survivors include his wife, Justine; two sons, Donald Pealer of Celina, 

Tenn., and Dennis Pealer of Livingston, Tenn.; two grandchildren; a brother, 

Bruce Pealer of Piney Flats; and six sisters, Marie Kerley, Nell Hyder, Mattie 

Boyd, Cleta Fisher, Margie Trent and Mittie Loveless. Several nieces and 

nephews also survive. 





    Funeral services for Mr. Pealer will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, July 

23, in the Morris-Baker North Chapel with Rev. Chirley Jones officiating. 

Interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, at Mountain Home National 

Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 9:30 

a.m. Tuesday and proceed to the cemetery. Military honors will be held at the 

graveside. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will 

receive friends at the funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Online
